Department of English, University of Dhaka
University of Dhaka is the first university in Bangladesh. Undoubtedly, University of Dhaka is the best university in Bangladesh. University of Dhaka has played the most important role in the birth of Bangladesh. The university was established in Dhaka in 1921 after overcoming many obstacles during the British rule.
One of the founding departments of University of Dhaka is the Department of English. It is a department of the Faculty of Arts. The department is located on the second floor of the Arts Building of University of Dhaka. Every year 150 students get the opportunity to study in this department.
English is an international language. We have to learn English for different needs. Department of English students not only learn English in their curriculum, they also get golden opportunity to practice English literature. Department of English is not only the best department of the Faculty of Arts, but also one of the best departments of University of Dhaka.
